| Catherine Edelman opened her gallery in 1987 at the age of 25, six months after receiving her masters degree in photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. A working photographer at the time, Catherine decided to open a gallery exclusively devoted to the exhibition and sale of living photographers, which was not present in Chicago at the time. |
